In our daily life, you may often hear the saying like this “where there is voltage there must be current following.” However, the truth is that is not absolute because current changes in different circuit.
For instance, in short circuit, there is still voltage in both ends of circuit but no current. In other words, electric field is definitely exsited instead of electric charge (current).
