Starting current: The impact current of electrical equipment at the beginning of starting, which is the current variation of the motor or load during a short time from the moment when the motor is energized to the operation is stable. Generally, this current is 4-7 times of the rated current.

PS: According to national regulations, in order to ensure the safety of the circuits operation and normal operation of other electrical equipments, those high-power motors must be equipped with starting equipment on account of reducing the starting current.

Running current: It can be said as the practical running current(operation current).
