On account of its poor welding performance of pure tin.
Generally, solder is a kind of terne metal which consists of lead and tin with lower melting-point, better deformability and terrific solderability. However, for the sake of environment and safety, more and more industry advocates lead free welding by improving technology. (PS: Lead is poisonous.)
