Yes! The metal detectros can detect aluminum;

PS: There are three types of the metal detectors according to its various functions:

1)All-metal detector: Be able to detect all metals, such as iron, stainless steel, copper, aluminum, etc. Furthermore the detection precision and sensitivity are relative high, stable and reliable;

2)Ferrous metal detector: Be only able to detect the ferrous metal, which is the so called needle detector. With the lower detection precision and sensitivity, it’s susceptible to interfere by others;

3)Aluminum foil metal detector: Be only able to detect the ferrous metal, which is the same as the ferrous metal detector. However, its detection precision and sensitivity are still high while detecting the products with aluminum packaging.
