If a item uses parallel circuit, which should satisfy these three features:

1)The circuit has more than two current;

2)The switch on the main circuit controls the whole circuit, while the switch on the branch circuit only controls the branch circuit;

3)Every single branch circuit has not effect on each other. In other words, even if one of branch is disconnected, the other branch circuit still can be work as normal.

For example, our TV, Fridge, Air-Conditioner, Washing Machine in our house are connected by using parallel circuits.
