Not really. We can only say that the same wire diameter, the conductivity of multi-strand wire is larger than that of a single-strand wire, because the current passes through the surface of the wire and the surface area of the multi-strand wire is bigger.
The difference between multi-strand wire and single-strand wire:
Multi-strand wire: Soft, good heat dissipation, which is suitable for laying thick pipes or thicker power lines;
Single-strand wire: Hard, which is suitable for laying outside or finer power; The service life is relatively longer, and it’s not easy to oxidize.
Multi-strand wire is BVR;
Single core but multi-strand soft wire & single-strand wire is BV.
